Music is a universal language. Music breaks down barriers of hierarchy, age, gender, culture, and language and it’s the true unifier among people. Bringing the same approach to team building is a great way to bond teams and to transport the music communication to company environment.
Despite its clear benefits team building has a bad reputation. Whenever a manager approaches a team saying that “we’re going to do some team building” you can clearly anticipate everyone’s eye roll in expectation of another depressing attempt to motivate people to work better together.
In the HR community, companies are increasingly implementing gamification as a method to drive higher employee engagement on company goals. In fact, gamification is the root of all our collective sports and activities, and it’s key to motivate people to engage in those activities and their objectives.
